16 hour blow dry for BBC Children in Need
We're doing a marathon 16 hour blow dry for BBC Children in Need
We're are calling for volunteers to sit in the chair and help us complete this blow-drying marathon on Friday 13 November in a bid to raise money for BBC Children in Need. Money raised will go to support disadvantaged children and young people across the UK.
Starting at 6am on Friday 13 and finishing at 10pm our team are aiming to keep the dryers going and style the locks for as many customers as possible over 16 hours. The inspiration came after seeing a salon in St Albans had managed 15 hours of blow drying for charity.
After seeing so many people getting involved last year and the children that the money goes to help - we have decided to do something new after seeing some what other people were doing last year, our team felt inspired to get support BBC Children in Need – and have some fun at the same time.
Michaela Devlin, salon owner and Style Director said; Its going to be a long day where we'll be styling non stop! Every member of the team is being sponsored to take part and we need people to ring the salon and book a blow dry! We'll make them look beautiful and in return they can give a donation to Children in Need ! Whats not to love? It's going to be tough but we are determined to reach 16 hours and raise as much money as possible for a brilliant cause.''

BBC Children in Need works throughout the year to ensure that every child in the UK has a safe, happy and secure childhood, and the chance to reach their full potential. It relies on the energy and commitment of thousands of fundraisers and supporters across the UK, who donate their time and money to put on events supporting the Appeal. Whether through cake sales, quizzes or dress ups, every penny of the money raised goes towards supporting projects across the UK.
